Mark opened the very first Technics Music Academy at Allegro Music in 1993. Mark had worked inside the firm whilst studying for a computer HNC at the Anglia Polytechnic University. In addition to this he was also providing private keyboard and piano tuition in the Braintree, Chelmsford and Colchester area and performing as solo and band Keyboard player in a function band called "Krackers".
After gaining the HNC computer qualification the opportunity of running a Technics Music Academy was presented by Allegro Music and was setup for business in June 1993. The Academy had grown from no students to a staggering 450+. This made the Westcliff TMA the largest in Essex.
This success has lead to the expansion of the Academy, hence the opening of the Westcliff Music Academy on Saturday 6th November 2004.
