Joe started playing the drums at the age of eleven. When he finished school he joined the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London, where he completed a Diploma in Drums. A year later he joined the London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM) where he studied for an HNC in music Returning to ICMP in April 2013, he obtained a High Diploma before joining his current degree course in Popular Music, and has been assessed at grade 8. Joe specialises in Funk and Rock drumming, although he performs many other styles as well as (Latin, Jazz, Blues, Disco, Reggae and Gospel etc) He has played all over London with his originals indie rock band "Waking Volcanoes" and also performs at wedding, parties, charitable and cooperate events his function band "Sorted". As a freelance drummer, Joe has performed with ACM/Royal Holloway Gospel Choir, "Disco Inferno" musical theatre production as well as guesting with various bands throughout Essex and London.
Acquiring the knowledge and experience from previous tutors, Joe aims to pass on the core techniques necessary to become a young, successful and independent drummer.
Andy started playing the drums when he was 7 years and has been drummer for 17 years. Influenced by drummers such as Travis Baker, Mike Kennedy and Joey Jordinson, Andy specialises in genres such as Pop, Rock, Punk and Metal but is also accomplished in many other genres as well. Since then he has been in numerous bands performing live. To date he has opened for bands such as 'Welsh Rockers 'Funeral For A Friend' and Sky's 'Must be the Music' runners up 'Missing Andy'. Andy has also gained a triple distinction in music practice attending South East Essex College where drums were his specialist instrument. After college Andy went on to University in London and Brigton where he gained a degree in music. As well as being a tutor for the Westcliff Music Academy, he also teaches music at the Colchester Institute.
The Academy is fully equipped and uses an Acoustic Rock Kit.
